Bonsai

Our garden has taken a lot of twists and turns over the last 10 years. You can check those out on my garden page, but the biggest development for me personally was finally taking the plunge and getting into caring for bonsai. At the most basic, bonsai refers to trees in trays or pots, but it quickly gets more complicated than that.

Currently I have:
  • 260+ trees
  • 50+ species/cultivars
  • trees are at different stages of maturity

Some species I work with:
  • Pines (Pinus)
  • Maples (Acer)
  • Hornbeam (Carpinus)
  • Hawthorn (Crataegus)
  • Beech (Fagus)
  • Birch (Betula)

I plan to share about some of my experiences over on the Blog.

As part of my learning process, I created a youtube channel--Wolffwood Bonsai--to share some of the ideas I was learning and as a way of contributing to the internet education bank from which I have gained so much in my life.
